The Dufferin Club was founded in 1910 after a movement by a group of citizens interested in the sport and the pursuit of a place to improve the appearance of the Dufferin area. A portion of the property owned by the Province of Ontario facing St.Paul Avenue was placed under the supervision of the City of Brantford Parks and Recreation Department to be used for the advancement of sport in the city. A club was formed and a portion of the property was designated for lawn bowling.
In 1969, The Dufferin Club was incorporated, operating under a new constitution, where the club was divided into two constituents, the Lawn Bowling Club and the Tennis Club, each operating with an elected Executive to govern it's affairs. In 1972, the current clubhouse was built replacing the original building of 1911.

The Novice teams for District 3, 2010. The teams played 2 games, the last one in a bit of rain. Not enough to stop play, but enough to get everyone a bit damp.
Olive and her team played very well. In both games they made big comebacks to really put the pressure on. The final ends of the second game were great for the spectators!
Congratulations to Olive and the team for the tremendous effort.
